The Nikkei posted a 2.32% drop today. With today's market volatility, the premiums against my open positions are decaying nicely. I am eyeing the Apr N225 Puts & looking at around early Mar to take on some positions on momentum.

Feb 19 Option Trades Update
Asian stocks were bullish today. US futures are pointing to a significantly higher start today. The premiums on the N225 options remained unchanged today with the modest 0.9% upside on the Nikkei. If the premiums on the May 16500 calls goes back up to 20 pts-25 pts this week, I might pick up some more contracts & it will only do so if the Nikkei surges significantly higher. I also have my eyes on the April puts should the Nikkei do an about turn & goes south.

Feb 18 Option Trades Update
US market is close tonight for President's day. Asia markets has no leads & hence trading sideways. Japanese stocks pared gains on Monday, with an early wave of short-covering fizzling out even as the broader market was buoyed by a shot of confidence from good economic data in the both the United States and Japan last week. Last check, the options premium to my N225 positions are further decaying in my favour.

Feb 13 Option Trades Update
I am looking to write N225 May call options this period. I am looking at the 16500-17000 levels. If the Nikkei goes up strong tommorrow, it will be tommorrow. On the other hand, it may be range bound as the market wait to see the outcome of the 2 days BOJ meeting starting tommorrow. Key GDP data will also be out tommorrow & may affect the markets reaction too. US retail sales data for last month was just out & reported an unexpected increase & might provide some support for the Nikkei too. Lets see.
