Nov 22 Option Trades Update

I sold N225 Feb 18000 call options for 20 pts when Nikkei traded as high as 1%+ in late afternoon session before giving up some of the gains to end 0.34% higher Thursday. Tommorrow is a holiday in Japan & US market is closed for Thanksgiving.

Nov 21 Option Trades Update

Asian markets is trading sharply down Wednesday after the SeeSaw day we saw on Wall Street yesterday. I squared off all the N225 Jan 19500 call options for 1 pt (sold for 20 pts).

Nov 20 Option Trades Update

I wrote limited Feb N225 18500 calls for 15 pts with the rebound on the Nikkei 225 index today. Rest of Asia are trading in tight ranges still. Meanwhile, FTSE is trading higher & the US futures are also suggesting a possible higher start Tuesday. However, its anybody's guess if that will hold.

Nov 19 Option Trades Update

This week's activity will be cut short by the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and a half day of trading on Friday. Minutes from the Federal FOMC's Oct. 31 meeting are scheduled for release Tuesday & might be something to watch out for. Meanwhile, Asian markets are trading mixed, in tight ranges & appears uncertain. Japan's Nikkei average reversed earlier gains and extended its losing streak to the third straight session on Monday. The N225 Jan 19500 call options positions were last done at 2 pts(sold for 20 pts) which I am looking to square them off at 1 pt. I was on the queue to write Feb 19000 calls but did not get the price I want.

Nov 14 Option Trades Update

With Asian markets rebounding on Wed, taking its cue from Wall Street last night, I am looking to square off the N225 Jan 19500 Call option for 2 pts..... Still in the queue. I will also be looking out for opportunity to write N225 Feb calls but will give the market a few more days to regain lost grounds if this is where it is heading.

Nov 9 Option Trades Update

Most Asian indices are holding steady after 2 days of declines. Well not quite for the STI which came back after Devali with a 2% decline to show. The Nikkei 225 index also extended its losses by another 1 plus %. The N225 Jan 19500 call options was last done at 3 pts. FTSE is trading down as we speak (9.00pm Sin)& US futures are pointing to a lower opening....no end in sight yet.

Nov 8 Option Trades Update

After last night's US stock market's plunge, Asian markets also experienced sharp declines across the board Thu. Meanwhile, the US$ the dollar swooned amid speculation that China will seek to diversify some of its foreign currency stockpiles beyond the greenback. Yen, along with other major currencies are trading higher against the Dollar & this has caused the premiums to the N225 Jan 19500 Call options to remains somewhat unchanged(last done 6 pts) despite the 400 pts drop in the Nikkei 225 index so far(12:56 pm Sin).

Nov 7 Option Trades Update

Asian markets are trading cautiously with most indices up moderately (Wed, 2.10pm). I suspect this might not be sustainable as the afternoon trading sessions unfold but of course I like to be wrong. The Nikkei 225 on the other hand extended its losses further by 1%. As such, the N225 Jan 19500 call options' premium decayed further & was last done at 5 pts (sold for 20 pts)....almost ripe for squaring off.

Nov 6 Option Trades Update

With the sharp drop yesterday, it is not unusual to see some pull back today. Asian markets did just that mostly although a few markets are sliding further down but with lesser intensity. Nikkei 225 decline moderately Tuesday & the N225 Jan 19500 Call Options maintained at around 8 pts today(sold for 20 pts). The FTSE is trading positvely as we speak & US futures are pointing to a higher opening for Wall Street today.

Nov 5 Option Trades Update

It was a Sea of Red for Asian markets today especially for the Hang Seng which gave up some 5% plus due to delays hitting China investors' plans to buy HK stocks. UK markets are currently trading down. US futures are also pointing to a lower opening on Monday. The Jan N225 19500 Call Options were decaying nicely....last done at 7 pts(sold for 20 pts).
